Policy Research Programme – A qualitative study to understand the engagement, access, referral, and experiences of people with depression who might benefit from weight management services – The NIHR Policy Research Programme invites proposals for research to support policy makers in the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) shape policy on healthy weight in relation to weight management services (WMS). This research call aims to commission one project to understand the engagement, access, referral, and experiences of people accessing Tier 2 WMS who are overweight or living with obesity and who also have depression. This research should consider the perspective of both service users and people working in delivery of WMS. DEADLINE: 14/09/2021
- Graduate Teaching Assistant PhD scholarship: Improving the efficacy of lifestyle interventions through the use of advanced body measurement techniques – Applications are invited for a Graduate Teaching Assistant PhD scholarship in The Academy of Sport and Physical Activity (ASPA), hosted by the Sport and Physical Activity Research Centre (SPARC), commencing 1st February 2022. This PhD will explore how body shape, size and composition information can be used to motivate people on weight loss programs, helping them to take control of their own health and lifestyle. The closing date for applications is Friday 5th November 2021 at 11.30pm.
